Job Summary
We are looking for an Automotive Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to ensure safety and performance. The ideal candidate should have experience with engine diagnostics, electrical systems, brake repair, and routine vehicle maintenance.
This role is open to freshers looking to start a career in the automotive industry as well as experienced professionals seeking growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Vehicle Inspection & Diagnosis
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and identify mechanical/electrical issues.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot engine and system problems.
- Conduct test drives to assess vehicle performance and detect issues.
2. Repairs & Maintenance
- Repair and replace brakes, engines, transmission systems, and suspension components.
- Perform oil changes, tire rotations, battery replacements, and fluid checks.
- Fix electrical and computer-based issues in modern vehicles.
3. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure repairs meet safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain accurate repair logs, service records, and parts inventory.
- Stay updated on automotive technologies and industry trends.
4. Customer Service & Communication
- Explain vehicle issues and repair recommendations to customers.
- Provide cost estimates and timelines for maintenance work.
- Work closely with service advisors and parts specialists.
Requirements
Experience Level
- Fresher: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
- Experienced (1-3+ years): Hands-on experience in engine repair, diagnostics, and advanced automotive systems.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, repair manuals, and shop equipment.
- Knowledge of brake systems, electrical circuits, fuel systems, and HVAC repairs.
- Ability to work on hybrid and electric vehicles is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education & Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Certification from Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is a plus.
- Degree or diploma from an automotive trade school is preferred.
Salary & Benefits
- Entry-Level (Fresher): $40,000–$55,000 per year
- Experienced (1-3+ years): $55,000–$80,000 per year
