We’re seeking an inventory manager to spearhead the task of inventory control and quality assurance. Being a master of all trades, the candidate will be responsible for inventory control tasks that range from receiving, handling, storing, shipping, packaging and transporting products. By keeping track of the dynamic inventory levels of the business, an inventory manager heads a team of warehouse employees. The inventory manager candidate must have an analytical bent of mind, with outstanding problem-solving and organisational skills.
Objectives of this role
- Plan and execute an inventory tracking system for supply chain inventories
- Liaise with different suppliers and do a cost analysis to get the best prices and rates
- Document the inventory movements and report them to the upper management
- Make sure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, keeping in mind quality and inventory control
- Recruit, train and manage a whole team of warehouse workers and ensure and audit the inventory control of the tasks that they perform
- Maintain safety in the warehouse, by adhering to the company safety policies and national regulations according to the legal standards
Your tasks
- Monitor the daily warehouse activities and ensure that quality assurance standards are always maintained
- Keep track of daily shipments and deliveries by making a report on them
- Build and foster healthy and long-lasting relationships with the suppliers within the scope of the inventory manager role
- Identify shortages and bottlenecks in the inventory control tasks and resolve the same through continuous improvisations
- Keep track of the latest trends and technology in the warehouse and inventory control spectrum and stay up to date with the same
- Track and meet the KPIs for inventory control that are set by the company
Required skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
- Prior work experience as an inventory manager or in a similar position
- Outstanding data analysis and sound working knowledge of common inventory management software
- Strong communication and leadership skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or supply chain management
- Multi-linguistic skills
- Proven track record in data management
