Position Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented Financial Manager to own financial operations and support strategic planning in a fully remote environment. You will lead FP&A, reporting, cash management, and accounting operations, and partner with leadership to drive financial performance and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead FP&A — budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and scenario planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and dashboards for leadership.
- Manage cash flow, working capital and cost control initiatives.
- Analyze financial performance and deliver actionable insights to business leaders.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (AR/AP, payroll coordination, GL maintenance).
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax rules and internal control standards.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and banks.
- Identify and implement tools/systems to improve processes and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
- 2–7+ years of professional experience in financial management, accounting, or FP&A.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and financial compliance.
- Proficiency with accounting/ERP tools (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CMA, or MBA is a plus.
- Experience with startups, SaaS, e-commerce or professional services.
- Familiarity with BI tools and budgeting software (Tableau, Power BI, Adaptive, etc.).
- Experience managing or mentoring junior finance staff.
- Knowledge of U.S. tax compliance for remote/distributed teams.
