Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources (HR) Specialist who is passionate about supporting employees and enhancing workplace culture. As a key member of our HR team, you will be instrumental in developing and maintaining HR practices and processes that align with organizational goals and foster a thriving work environment. This role is ideal for an HR professional who excels in employee relations, onboarding and offboarding, policy implementation, benefits administration, and conflict resolution.
Key Objectives
- Develop, implement, and maintain employee processes and procedures.
- Use HR systems to document, manage, and improve employee data workflows.
- Administer new-hire and termination processes across personnel databases.
- Support benefits programs and contribute to annual enrollment activities.
- Enhance data accessibility and analytics through continuous process improvements.
Primary Responsibilities
- Coordinate onboarding logistics and orientation for new hires.
- Serve as a resource for employee questions and concerns related to compensation, benefits, misconduct, vacation, and recognition.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Support organizational changes through reporting and visual presentations (e.g., org charts).
- Collaborate with Payroll and other departments on sensitive personnel issues.
- Participate in HR software forums, training webinars, and vendor updates.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in human resources or recruitment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a high degree of integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and navigate complex employee relations.
- Experience using HR information systems and databases.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft or similar HRIS software.
- Solid knowledge of federal and national employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
