About the Role:
We are looking for a proactive and experienced IT Manager to lead and support our organization’s IT operations in a fully remote environment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background and leadership skills, who can manage IT systems, ensure data security, support users, and align technology strategies with business goals.
You’ll be working cross-functionally to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our IT infrastructure, and lead initiatives that enhance our digital capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of IT infrastructure, systems, applications, and services.
- Manage cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and ensure secure, scalable deployments.
- Provide technical support to remote staff and troubleshoot IT-related issues.
- Maintain cybersecurity protocols and ensure compliance with data protection standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR).
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff or contractors.
- Manage hardware and software procurement, licensing, and vendor relationships.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Monitor system performance, implement upgrades, and ensure backup and disaster recovery procedures are in place.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes and identity/access management.
- Collaborate with leadership to align technology with strategic goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–7+ years of experience in IT operations or management.
- Strong knowledge of system administration (Windows, macOS, Linux), networking, and cloud computing.
- Hands-on experience with security best practices, firewalls, VPNs, and threat detection tools.
- Experience managing SaaS tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with remote workforce support and endpoint management tools (e.g., Jamf, Intune, MDM).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, ITIL, AWS Certified, CISSP, PMP).
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and scripting (Python, Bash, etc.).
- Experience with helpdesk systems (e.g., Jira, Zendesk).
