About the Role

We are looking for a Junior QA Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and a passion for ensuring high-quality software products. You will be responsible for testing applications, identifying bugs, and ensuring that our products meet user expectations and company standards before release.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze system specifications and requirements.
• Execute manual test cases for web, mobile, and desktop applications.
• Identify, document, and track bugs or issues using tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
• Perform regression testing, functional testing, and UI/UX validation.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to ensure quality at every stage of development.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and test data preparation.
• Validate bug fixes and ensure issues are resolved prior to product releases.
• Provide feedback to improve usability and performance.
• Maintain detailed records of test results and report testing progress to QA leads.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in manual software testing (freshers with testing internship experience are welcome).
• Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and software testing life cycle (STLC).
• Familiarity with bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello, Redmine).
• Knowledge of test case creation, test execution, and defect reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic understanding of SQL queries for backend validation.
• Exposure to API testing using tools like Postman.
• Knowledge of automation testing concepts (not mandatory but a plus).
• Certification in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB Foundation Level) is an added advantage.
