Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Manager to take charge of inventory operations, stock management, and supply chain coordination across our dynamic and growing organization. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring that our inventory systems are accurate, efficient, and aligned with business needs.

You’ll work closely with procurement, sales, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless inventory management and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory Control & Stock Management

  • Maintain precise inventory records and ensure real-time stock visibility.
  • Design and implement effective inventory tracking systems to eliminate variances and minimize losses.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and reconciliation procedures.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to ensure product availability while minimizing holding costs.
  • Manage slow-moving and obsolete inventory to enhance warehouse efficiency.

2. Supply Chain & Warehouse Coordination

  • Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and logistics teams to schedule and track inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel to improve space utilization, picking efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
  • Oversee inventory transfers across multiple warehouse locations and ensure smooth stock movements.
  • Evaluate supply chain processes and implement improvements to enhance responsiveness and reliability.

3. Demand Forecasting & Order Planning

  • Analyze historical data, market trends, and seasonality to forecast demand accurately.
  • Develop strategic inventory replenishment plans that align with company sales and operational targets.
  • Collaborate with procurement and sales departments to balance supply and demand effectively.
  • Monitor inventory turnover ratios and lead times to improve purchasing and stocking decisions.

4. ERP & Inventory Management Systems

  • Utilize leading ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics) for day-to-day inventory management.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data input, inventory tracking, and report generation from ERP platforms.
  • Support ERP upgrades or implementation projects, including user training and system testing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related inventory discrepancies and technical issues.

5. Reporting & Compliance

  • Generate detailed reports on inventory accuracy, turnover rates, aging stock, and order fulfillment performance.
  • Track key inventory KPIs and present actionable insights to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including safety protocols and material handling best practices.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives in procurement, warehousing, and logistics.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

  • Freshers: Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply if they have academic knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
  • Experienced (1–3+ years): Prior hands-on experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or supply chain logistics is preferred.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, or a related field (preferred, not mandatory).
  • Additional certifications such as Certified Inventory Manager (CIM), APICS CPIM, or Six Sigma are advantageous.

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with or proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Solid understanding of inventory principles, stock audits, warehouse workflows, and procurement cycles.
  • Analytical skills to forecast demand, assess inventory needs, and optimize stock levels.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools is a plus.

  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively.

Salary & Benefits

  • Entry-Level (Fresher): $50,000–$65,000 per year
  • Experienced (1–3+ years): $65,000–$85,000 per year
